T-UK English Chapionships

On Sunday 5th July 2026, the T-UK English Championships took place at BeActive Urmston,
Kingsway Park.

The event was hosted by Master James Miley and the competition was open to all ITF groups.

T-UK Leeds entered 17 student, which is our highest number to date and also had many of the team supporting in the stands as well. Oleks was coach for the day and myself, Emma, Anton and Elain (after she had competed) worked as officials.

It was an extremely hot day and the temperature inside the sports hall made competing difficult.

That said, many of the student won medals in both pattern and sparring and a special mention to Bal for winning gold in the specialist technique flying high competition.

All in all T-UK Leeds won 2 Gold Medals, 6 Silver Medals and 5 Bronze medals. 13 medals from 17 student isn’t bad going.

Well done to all competitors, those who medaled and also those who didn’t. It was a great team effort and you all made us very proud.
